Testimonial from individual with Multiple Sclerosis
PLEASE NOTE: The claims made in this web site are not intended to infer that chiropractic care is a cure for any of these conditions. Some people with similar symptoms may not respond to chiropractic, but the first healthcare choice should be arrived at with the knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiology and palpatory skills and incorporated in diagnostic reasoning. Only chiropractors incorporate ALL these at undergraduate level.
Chiropractic is NOT merely manipulation. It is a profession that uses many skills.
The people and claims are real and true.
They are indicative of the fact that we need research into chiropractic. Chiropractic is testimony to the fact that a body that has its structure in good alignment and function can overcome the many symptoms and ills that are merely different expressions of life out of balance.

To Whom It May Concern:

The benefits of Chiropractic and other complementary, alternative therapies are supremely proven in a person with physical challenges. I currently have Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, and have had since 1994-5. With the direct work on my body structure that Chiropractic gives, I am able to live with my problem as optimally as possible, allowing a fuller life despite my disability.

I have had MS since I was 23-24, using aids at 27, a walker then wheelchair by 30. I am presently 38. My version of MS is mainly present in my spine, so my walking and balance are primarily affected. Drugs available to the more common strains—Relapsing/Remitting; Secondary Progressive are not applicable to me, the
only treatments to assist my living are: Chiropractic; Physiotherapy; Acupuncture; MoraVega Health Regeneration, and Ayurveda. They are my saving grace, my reprieve from unnecessary suffering and pain, enabling me to be strong and fit despite constant sitting, giving me the vital confidence to stand and perform transfers necessary to live as independently as possible with the aid of devices mentioned.

I am also an author, sitting many hours a day in front of my computer typing, holding the mouse, hunched due to my balance, forgetting myself too due my writing and working passion, thankful I have the health and vitality to do so because of the treatments I receive. Instant results visible to all and my wellbeing shines.

The difference between living with MS without treatments is clear to me, and recorded in an autobiography I am writing. In my initial years, I sought spiritual understanding and insight, which benefited my mind incredibly. I realise I should have also actively sought the physical healing remedies I now receive, and have done since 2004, September, when I had my first Atlas Orthogonal treatment.

I believe I would not have advanced so far, had I had the education to seek such extraordinarily wonderful healing modalities from the start. The financial cost is the only obstacle keeping me from receiving more sessions of therapies that allow the body the best ease within the dis-ease, and I’m in the minority, having an advantage to receive such blessings at all. Most MSers grow sick from the drug therapy channel.

I wish to see more education, finance, support, and hands-on feedback, and research, to infiltrate these areas. More people need access to Chiropractic and alternative therapies. People with challenges, their carers, family, and friends need to know such help truly exists, works, and the sun can shine more freely on our faces again. It’s up to us who know the healing benefits to sing the truth!

The Atlas-Orthogonal Rap

I bent over and bent some more
Until I was nearly touching the floor
I thought my MS had seen it all
That was when Chiropractic
Came knocking at my door

If only I had discovered earlier
My upper cervical atlas was in disaster
From a fall as a small girl
Fell off a horse who’d taken a spell

Catapulted into a shoulder cartwheel
My neck, the force: l’hermittes brewed
Electric shocks along my spine
Subtle sensations not so divine

All it took was a simple tap
22 years later
The Atlas-Orthogonal rap
Bridged an area in my spine
Where MS had been sitting all the time

Strengthened my core to the bone
Enables me to live comfortably in my own home
Despite the MS, I live my life
Getting better, recovering, through the strife
