AMCT was developed 25 years ago by Dr Arlan Fuhr. It utilises an instrument for adjusting the joints and muscles. For detailed information, see the activator website http://www.activator.com
The major feature of the instrument is that it is low force, and may appeal to those who prefer not to be manipulated, or may be unsuited to higher force adjusting. It is also well supported by ongoing research which can be accessed readily at the activator website also.

It is reported that the instrument is up to 800 times faster than a manipulative thrust by hand.
Comment:
All chiropractic works well, and no technique has the definite supremacy over any other. Chiropractic is safe in any form, when practised by a registered chiropractor. But as a matter of preference, patients have the right to choose the technique that suits them.
